I have a fascination with railways that goes back to about the age of three. My particular interest has evolved into the aspects of folklore and social history, initially relating to the lines of the former South Australian Railways, but also extending beyond. These books are as much about the wicked antics of politicians of earlier times as they are about technical matters.
My professional career was in occupational medicine. I see my venture into railway publishing as a transition to a new career. I generally find that I can “spice up” an item of railway history with informed comment on an aspect of occupational medicine.
The recipe for my books is a well-researched history supported by high-quality images and diagrams, with the use of colour where-ever possible. I aim to produce one new title each year.

I am a medical graduate of the University of Adelaide. I was a General Practitioner for 25 years. Thereafter I trained in Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy and Music Therapy. In the later part of my career, I worked with children, empowering them to access and believe in their natural inner healing resources, to better enable them to cope with challenges and conflicts.
Inspirations for my stories have come from young people, from observing people in everyday walks of life but most of all from my family histories and my personal life journey.
